It's Been a While...a LOOONG While Really...

So I haven't blogged in some time. I have honestly been so preoccupied that I haven't thought about doing such. Until I was reading some other blog and noticed that I was a blog that they followed, and I thought -doh- I have a blog, too. So...

Biz is officially a year old. 15 months to be exact, and she is too much fun! She is a ball of energy--completely fearless and yet completely sweet, too.

She is talking so much and she cracks us up all the time with her personality that is just bursting at the seams.
She is my heart.

Which brings me to some other news of ours...we are having another little girl! I told you it's been a while. Cannon Abigail is due on November 11, 2010, but it will be just fine with her mama if she wants to come a little bit sooner. As long as she is finished cooking, that is.

And, lest I forget,

Happy Birthday to my Mom, Biz's G! We love you so much!

MUSIC!

Biz had her very first music class this morning. She was so funny! I wish that I would have videoed her face as we clapped, bounced, snuggled, and sang.
It was a priceless moment.

This girl is definitely rhythmic, too. She knows the feel of the beat! Not unlike her mother, ahem.

Further, she loves to hear her OB (my dad) play the guitar. I swear that he's the Pied Piper when he starts to strum. Biz is definitely musically inclined, I'd say.

So maybe we are looking at the next...

Taylor Swift?

Britney Spears? (oh please, no)

or...

TINA TURNER!!!!!!!!(check out the hair)

Then we could make money to retire by, a la Billy Ray Cyrus. (Have you seen his two youngest girls' new lingerie line??!!!!!!!?????) This is certainly in jest.

Have a good one everybody!

Happy Birthday Big Daddy!

Today is Biz's Big Daddy's Birthday!
So, Happy Birthday Big Daddy!
We hope you have a super day.
Love,
Alan, Betsy, Biz and Mr. Fletcher

Biz made you a card, but then decided...

that it smelled yummy...

So she took a bite.

And kept eating.
She is NOT a billy goat.
I DO feed her.
The paper is NOT toxic.
I will let you know if it IS fibrous.
Or you can come over in a few hours and find out for yourselves.
I'll let you change her if you desire.

So alas, here is what is left of your birthday card, Big Daddy.

Looking forward to celebrating with you tonight.

Biz and Bubbles

How infectious is a baby's laugh? I had to share this video of Biz with the bubbles the other night. 99 cents of fun isn't half bad, right? Especially in times of economic downturn. No, I'm not going to get all political on you here. Just wanted to point out that sheer delight is priceless-- or in this case-- cheap!

To answer the above posed question:
It's quite infectious, judging by my school girl giggling.

Cruising

Won't Be Long Now...

Might I mention that Biz is cruising now? Which, for those of you that are new to babyspeak, means that she is walking while holding on to large objects (Alan and myself included in the large objects category). She has an angry cry while doing so, which I don't quite get, but I'm hoping that she will get over it. Or maybe she is just crying because she needs a diaper change. Check. YEP, that's why. Gotta run.

Have a good one e'rbody!

Our Little Family

Trying out this blog thing, seeing as how I always like reading about others' goings on, so perhaps the feeling might be reciprocal on some level. At least my family will like it. They haven't a choice.

Hummmmmm....

Baby Biz is 9 months old today. We went for her checkup, and everything is going just peachy. Biz is in the 90th percentile for her height, weight, and (doh!) head circumference. I'm thinking that big head=genius baby. Right??? I know the grandparents wouldn't argue that claim. It's wild how time flies once the baby is here on earth, in your arms, because the in utero thing sure seems to last a LIFETIME. Oh, sure, I exaggerate...but some might agree.

Here she is; pardon the redneck voice in the background. I'm not sure to whom that voice belongs...

Needless to say, Alan and I are two smitten kittens. With each other and this precious baby girl.
